New Proposed Legislation Changes

As an investor, property manager or Director of a Real Estate office it’s important to stay up to date with changes to the industry.  Is your office prepared for your clients’ properties to follow the new proposed minimum standards under Section 70 of the Residential Tenancies Act 1997?

According to the most recent Regulatory Impact Statement, the latest proposed requirements are:

1.     All external entry doors need to have at least a functioning single action deadlock

2.      All external windows [that are capable of opening] must have functioning latches to secure

These regulation changes are now due to come into effect in Victoria from January 2021.

Sometimes it can be difficult to have complete confidence that all compliance is being met when you have so many properties to manage.

Luckily that is why Frontline Locksmiths Deadlock Compliance and Compatibility Check was created specifically for Victorian Residential Rental Providers. It’s the perfect solution for you and you can start getting ready now! So what does this include?

·        Compliance Evaluation

·        Property Report

·        Servicing

·        Opportunity to Rekey all locks to a single key
